CSIS donates £145,000 to the Civil Service Benevolent Fund!
At the recent Civil Service Benevolent Fund AGM and Conference in Edinburgh, the Civil Service Insurance Society presented a cheque for £30,000, bringing the total amount donated to the Fund by CSIS in the past 12 months to £145,000. The cheque was presented to Sir Brian Bender, KCB, Chairman of the Fund, by Kevin Holliday, CSIS Chief Executive.

In his speech at the Fund's AGM, Sir Brian Bender said "In October last year we celebrated 115 years of working together with the Civil Service Insurance Society. The Fund was part instrumental in the CSIS coming into existence in 1891 and, since that time, CSIS has been supporting the Fund and other public sector charities through donations from its profits." The Civil Service Benevolent Fund is the main beneficiary of these donations, and in the last 10 years alone the Fund has received £1 million from CSIS.
