The Civil Service Benevolent Fund is calling all Civil Service staff to help raise funds by taking part in the National Bring a Phone to Work Day on 13 January 2010.
For the fourth year running, the Fund has joined with recycling partner Recycling Appeal to take part in Bring A Phone To Work Day, a scheme which benefits, you, us, and the environment.
It is estimated that over 8 million phones are bought and sold at Christmas alone, and that only 20% of unused mobiles phones are currently recycled in the UK. By choosing to recycle you not only helping to generate valuable income for the Fund you are also helping to protect the environment, by reducing the amount of hazardous waste in landfill sites.
