Yesterday (September 9th) Grahame Morris MP welcomed guests including BIBA Chairman Lord Hunt, charity representatives, and colleagues from across the insurance industry to the House of Commons terrace to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Civil Service Insurance Society.

Throughout its history CSIS’ not-for-profit status has meant it has been able to alleviate hardship for widows and orphans of policyholders and support civil and public service charities and welfare organisations. In fact in the last 6 years alone over £4,000,000 has been distributed to those in need.

Speaking at the event CSIS Chairman Chis Daykin said “When this firm was founded 125 years ago, I am sure they never thought we would be here toasting its 125th anniversary, nor would they have expected the millions of pounds that have been given to good causes over the years.” Mr Daykin continued “To be able to celebrate with such an eclectic group of guests from so many linked organisations is a great honour”.

Since the event the CSIS team has received many messages of thanks and good wishes for a memorable day.
