Do you provide cover for pre-existing medical conditions?

Don't worry, suffering from a pre-existing medical condition doesn't automatically mean we can't insure you.

Although our online system excludes pre-existing medical conditions for any one travelling or anyone upon whom the trip depends, we may still be able to add this cover back in over the telephone. We will simply refer you to our confidential Medical Screening Team, who will ask you some simple questions about your condition.

If we can offer cover for your pre-existing condition, the price of your policy will remain the same as quoted on this site, but we may simply apply an increased excess to any claim made as a result of the pre-existing condition.

If you do wish to apply for cover including a pre-existing medical condition, please call us on 0845 6077444 during our normal office hours. Our friendly team will quickly guide you through the screening process.

If we can cover your condition, you will be given two choices:

1. Continue with the purchase of your travel insurance policy excluding your condition from cover (with this option you will be fully covered for all standard travel insurance claims such as personal accident, lost baggage, delayed departure etc. but any situations that arise due to your pre-medical condition will not be covered).

2. Purchase your policy including the pre-existing medical condition and the Medical Screening Team will confirm the increased excess terms in writing to you.
