THIS ENDORSEMENT APPLIES IN RESPECT OF WINTER SPORTS HOLIDAYS ATTACHING TO AND FORMING PART OF THE INSURANCE DOCUMENT FOR UP TO 17 DAYS UNDER AN ANNUAL TRAVEL POLICY, AND ONLY WHEN PURCHASED AND SHOWN AS INCLUDED ON THE POLICY SCHEDULE OF A SINGLE TRIP POLICY.
It is hereby noted and agreed that in consideration of an additional premium the general exclusion regarding winter sports is hereby deleted.
In addition to the cover granted in the Insurance Document numbered as above the following cover is provided.
INABILITY TO SKI - SUM INSURED £150
Following illness or injury of the Insured Person resulting in an admissible claim under the Medical Expenses section of the policy and resulting in their inability to ski as certified by the overseas treating doctor at the time of the incident to reimburse irrecoverable pre-paid costs in respect of ski-hire, lift passes and ski-lessons.
SKI HIRE - SUM INSURED £200
Following accidental damage to or loss of the Insured's own skis during the Period of Insurance to pay reasonable ski hire costs for equivalent ski equipment, necessarily incurred by the Insured, for the remainder of the Period of Insurance.
AVALANCHE - SUM INSURED £150
To reimburse additional travel and accommodation expenses necessarily incurred by the Insured in arranging a detour as a result of avalanche, landslide, snow or flood first commencing after the due time and date of departure from the U.K.
PISTE CLOSURE - SUM INSURED £150
In the event that due to inadequate snow cover in the pre-booked resort, resulting in the closure of all ski lifts, it is not possible to ski, to pay up to £25 per day for the additional cost of transportation and purchase of a daily lift pass in order to travel to an alternative site.
SUBJECT OTHERWISE TO ALL TERMS, CONDITIONS, EXCEPTIONS AND WARRANTIES AS EXIST IN THE MAIN INSURANCE DOCUMENT TO WHICH THIS ENDORSEMENT ATTACHES.
This endorsement may only be purchased and issued at the same time as the issue of the Main Insurance Document.
