TOURING CARAVANS & TRAILER TENTS

Getting touring caravan or trailer tent insurance isn't just about finding the best price - you need a comprehensive policy that will protect your caravan in all situations.

This means finding an insurance policy that covers your caravan when it's in storage, when you're travelling to your destination and when you've re-sited at a campsite.

Of course you want good value for money, but you also want to be protected in the event of an accident or damage. There's nothing worse than having your holiday ruined and then finding out that you can't claim on your insurance policy - just ask any caravaners who've been in that situation - so you need to choose comprehensive cover.

Features of cover
  • Theft and accidental damage cover
  • Alternative accommodation
  • Up to 180 days EU cover
  • Cover available for awnings & motor movers
  • Cover available for "non road risk" tourers (permanently sited)
  • £2million public liability when not attached to the towing vehicle
Exclusions include but are not limited to:
  • Damange to tyres unless caused by an accident or vandalism
  • Theft or attempted theft when the caravan is left unattended for more than 2 hours, unless the prescribed security devices are in option
  • Cost of repairing or replacing any undamaged parts that form part of a pair, set or suite
  • Depreciation, deterioration, manufacturing defects, wear & tear

Please see product documentation for full list of exclusions.

STATIC CARAVANS

Static caravan insurance starts from £95.40 a year and because Coast Insurance are specialists, you can be certain they have not cut corners on the cover to push the price down.

Coast understand the risks associated with this type of holiday home and their policies reflect this by including cover for a wide variety of problems that may occur while you are staying in the caravan or during periods it is left empty. Coast also recognise that owning a static caravan is a long-term commitment and are happy to insure caravans up to 30 years old.

You will receive the same level of service as if your holiday home is new, so you can rest assured you will enjoy cover for all sorts of accidental damage and legal expenses.

Features of cover
  • Fire
  • Flood (subject to location and excess)
  • Storm

PARK HOMES

For Coast, a park home insurance quote is as much about giving you peace of mind that your investment is in safe hands as it is about providing great value insurance cover although we strive to offer that as well!

Unlike some of Coast's other products such as caravans and motorhomes, which customers mainly use to take a break from everyday life, park home owners tend to live in their park home all year round, which makes finding the best insurance even more important. You need a specialist policy that will cover the home itself, its furniture and contents in the unfortunate event that something goes wrong.

Features of cover
  • Fire, flood and storm damage cover
  • Accidental damage cover as standard
  • Contents cover
  • Alternative accommodation (if your home becomes temporarily uninhabitable due to fire, accidental damage and other insured perils)
  • Legal expenses including cover for disputes between home and site owners
  • Underwritten by AmTrust Europe Ltd, ARAG plc and Aviva Insurance Ltd
  • No claims bonus for residential park homes
  • Reduced rate policy for retired customers aged 50 and over
  • £5million public liability
Exclusions include but are not limited to:
  • Property or money held/used for business or professional purposes
  • Certain risks if the home is unoccupied for more than 60 days or left unfurnished
  • Any valuable item that exceeds £1,000 unless specified
  • Cost of repairing or replacing any undamaged parts that form part of a pair, set or suite
  • Depreciation, deterioration, manufacturing defects, wear & tear

Please see product documentation for full list of exclusions.

MOTORHOMES

There's nothing more liberating than taking to the road in your campervan or motorhome for a few days in the fresh air, and many caravaners are deciding to trade their tourer for a motorhome to avoid the hassle of towing their leisure vehicle.

Whether you're making the switch from caravans or you're a motorhome specialist, one thing is for sure - you won't have complete peace of mind until you've got a quote for your insurance and arranged cover for your motorhome. Only then can you truly set off in style!

Features of cover
  • Theft, fire and malicious damage cover
  • Accidental damage and impact protection
  • Windscreen damage cover
  • Protection for your personal effects and audio visual equipment
  • Foreign use cover
  • Impact protection
  • Awning and trailer cover as standard
Exclusions include but are not limited to:
  • Loss or failure caused by any mechanical, electrical computer failure or breakdown
  • General wear and tear including to your tyres & brakes
  • Theft or attempted theft if the motorhome has been left unlocked or with the keys or keyless entry system left in or on the car

Please see product documentation for full list of exclusions.
